Times are especially hard now. And for those of you reading this from the future—we are all under shelter in place orders because of the novel coronavirus. Many of us can’t see our loved ones, or casual someones. Many of us are stuck at home with our parents and siblings and are realizing that the walls are all too thin.
Many of us are not moving (and feel free to continue not moving) because we’re exhausted by a sadness that is too complex to name. How do you break up the monotony of your Netflix binge?
I will go on YouTube and pick a song made in the early 2000s, like NLT's That Girl, and let autoplay remind me of the songs that were the soundtrack of my preteens. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, especially when you don't know how to buy weed.
